This is not a major issue or anything, just annoying more than anything else...  I've just had this email sent to me:-
There has been a problem with the database!
This is a notice email to let you know that SMF could not connect to the database, contact your host if this continues.

Anyway, there doesn't seem to be anything wrong with the forum; it loads, I can use the admin panel as normal, etc.  I received this same message about two weeks ago, but again there were no problems.  So, should I contact the host Grayweb or can I just ignore it?

Those are transient server errors, your members are seeing an error message when they try to access your forum.  If it happens infrequently, you can ignore them.  If you're getting a lot of them, speak to host support, or move to a better host.
When in Emor, do as the Snamors.

OK, thanks for the advice and sorry for late reply...  I don't think members are getting an error message when trying to login; I asked one of them that I recently made a moderator to tell me if he experienced this and he says 'No', so I assume other members are also not getting this error message.  It's just annoying that I'm getting this email sent to me for the second time in about two weeks or so.

I'm reluctant to move to another host as I've just renewed the current hosting deal for a year about a month ago.  I'll contact them anyway and see if they can sort it out.

Thanks again.

Those errors may happen from time to time and only some member can see them, not all. So it may be that your new moderator haven't get one (yet) and some other members were. Anyway, yes, you should contact server support and see if there's a problems with traffic or something that can be solved.

OK will do that, because if even just one or two members are getting this message, that's not putting the forum in a good light.
