Stucked with install

Greetings
I'm trying to install the SMF forum for the first time and I'm stucked at the very first  screen of instalation where I'm asked to enter my ftp server, username, password and install path. Seems the first 3 are working fine, because I can log to hoster's ftp with that info, but the install path .... I tried dozens of paths, with a lot of modifications but the forum refuses to continue the instalation...
And yes, I gave all the needed permisions as was written in instalation manual and I also searched through online manual and comunity sources...
Help. I'm getting despaired

The path should be something like /etc/httpd/htdocs/ not http://somedomain.com

If that is correct.. then there is probably some issue with your host. What is your host?

My host is from Lithuania, because I'm living there =___= hxxp:www.hostas.lt [nonactive]
there's a directory httpdocs on my ftp server, in the root directory, so what install  path should I use?

Your ftp client should tell you what the absolute part is.
