What does the bridge use to link Joomla and SMF user tables?

Hi there,

We've had some pretty major work bringing our oscommerce store over into Virtuemart, and now we're trying to make sure that the altered Joomla users are still recognised by the bridge as the same users they were before.

The email addresses haven't changed, but it's got me wondering what we need to do to our altered Joomla user tables to let the bridge recognise that Joomla user X = SMF User Y. Is there a table that cross references them, or is it based on some field (like email or username) being the same?

I know that normally nothing is required, however I repeat in this case the Joomla user tables have had to be altered so thisisn't really a usual case.

Thanks!

We're on:

J! 1.0.10
SMF 1.1 RC2
Bridge 1.15
(Currently): Joomla 1.0.12 | SMF 1.1 Final | Bridge 1.16 | Life .31 Alpha

The synch relies on the username field in the jos_users table.  Your altered table shouldn't matter, as long as all the fields that were there before still exist and function in the same way.

Thanks Oristo. I suspected as much, but it's a big help to have it confirmed.
