SMF Version: SMF 1.0.5
Hi

I've just signed up with a hosting company with the option of installing SMF from a control panel. I wonder if someone could help me with a copuple of questions please:

1. I have a 'members only' area of my website, ie users have already logged in. Is it possible for me to put my authentication script in the SMF header template somewhere then run the board as 'public' one, so my users don't have to log in twice?

2. I looked at the email functions in the online manual but wasn't too sure if I'd be able to automatically email all users all posts - is this possible?

Many thanks

Hi

You may want to upgrade to SMF 1.0.7 as 1.0.5 has known security holes

Not atm. There will be more e-mail functions in the version of SMF after 1.1. You could try requesting a mod.
