Need help upgrading from 1.1.7 to 1.1RC2 please!

SMF Version: SMF 1.0.7
Could someone either post or pm me and give me step by step 'non-geek' (I'm kinda stupid) instructions for switching from 1.1.7 to 1.1RC2?  We installed 7 but it seems RC2 is the way of the future.  I could really use someone's help.

Before upgrading, I recommend you removed any mods from your forum and any themes uploaded for 1.0.7 may not work on 1.1 rc 2

For upgrading:

1. Go to ftp.yoursite.com (yoursite is like iamhere.nolonger.co.uk)
2. Go into public_html, then into yours forums folder (Usually its called Forums or Community)
3A. Delete the themes,sources, packages, but don't delete attachments if people have uploaded files such as images(pictures) to your forum
3B. Delete all the files except Settings.php and Settings_bak.php
4. Download the upgrade package from the downloads pafe
5. Open it and choose the extract option on your left (If Windows XP)
6. Open the folder with the extracted files and press Ctrl+A, then Ctrl+C
7. Go back to your FTP.... and press Ctrl+V if you are in the folder
8. If it asks if you want to overwrite,say yes to all.
9. When its done, go to the forums and add upgrade.php to the address

Thanks, guys.  The geek helping me on this whipped right through it.  Now I've got to find and install a 'GD module' so it can resize all these huge avatars everyone wants to put up.
