How to insert banners into posts

Hey guys,

  I couldn't find the answer in the forums anywhere... I just want to put affiliate banners into my posts on my new SMF, but it seems to not work very well.  When I copy and paste the banners into the post, it usually just shows up partially as html.... Like I might see:

border="0"></a>

Or something like that.  I also noticed that the properties have to be in a certain order... Like with images the alt tag has to be directly after the source tag and so on.

Is there anything that makes this work easily??  I have VB on other boards and can do this without issue, but I can't seem to get it to work with SMF.  I do have html turned on in the admin.

Ah.  I see.  I used  {banner code here}


and that worked.

Now - Why isn't there a button for that?  It would be much easier than just knowing to add that code yourself.  Or am I missing someting?

when you reply, there are bbc buttons just above where i am typing at.

Yeah, I see those... There are a ton more, though, that are not there (including , which is what I needed).  Sorry for the confusion
