New Theme Help

Hey I was trying to install the new theme Enterprise and when I did I got the exact same thing as these guys a year ago:

OK but whatever the instal way I take I get no images and oddy text size for any of thmes but the two preinstaled ones any sugestions ?

yes, when chosing the tar version and hitting install, I also get no graphics and the text is odd.

Could someone please tell me why that happens and how I can fix it?

Have you tried checking if the directory is correct, some people make it so its themename/ accidently

make sure the theme your installing is compatible with the version of SMF your using.
not all themes work with all versions.

I updated the latest version and it didn't work, but I want to know which file I browse to if I download it? Do I choose index.template.php or what?

I'm using this version: Mod Name     Version      
1.    SMF 1.0.7 / 1.1 RC2 Update    1.0

And this Theme says: Enterprise_smf11rc2

Can you look in your footer and there it tells you the version of SMF that you are using.  Can you please post it up?

That theme is for 1.1 RC2.  In order to use it you must upgrade your forum.

Also I've tried downloading 1.1 RC2 and running the install.php, but when I do it says that it needs php to install. So how exactly do I go about installing 1.1 RC2 when I already have 1.0.7. installed?

your not installing 1.1 rc2, your upgrading or updating, depending on whether you have mods installed or not. go to the download page and see which one is right for you and follow the instructions.

I followed the instructions and every time I either get a blank white page that says I need php or and huge page with many errors telling me that my host needs to update. Is it my host bluehost.com [nofollow] that is keeping me from getting it or am I just doing this wrong? Pretend I have absolutely no idea what your saying and give me good instructions on how to do this if you all could.

You need to use the upgrade package.  Hopefully you didn't overwrite the Settings.php and Settings_bak.php files.

I think that may be the problem because I downloaded the upgrade and I don't see setting.php or setting_bak.php anywhere. How can I get them to make it work?

1. How? 2. I don't know where they are. I may look like a total idiot for asking such things, but I don't know what to do. I would like more details please.

Settings.php and Settings_bak.php are your settings files.
did you by any chance save those when you removed your files from the server?

The upgrade package DOES NOT include these two files since if it would include them it would mess things up since that's where the database information is stored at.

Then what do I do? Also how do I even do the upgrade? Do I upload it though my ftp? Do I use the package downloader on my forum, or what? Also I tried to put those 2 things in there and that didn't help.
