SMF install problem

i have done this already
cut still get this error

have done everything as in the online manual but same thing

do it manually by opening ftp and change it there and it will solve it.it will works.

i did twice
i deleted
uploaded again
done file permissions
goto yoursite/smf/install.php
gives same thing

every time you did chmod is 777? make it sure once again please.
                  possibly your host  will help you.but make it sure when you try change the values its 777

You might want to try chmod 750 or 755.

deleted everything
started from scratch
