Hi guys

I just converted my invision forum ( onlinemedicalforum.com/forum )
to SMF forum successfully.

But I have a few problems.
How do I import all attachments, smileys and avatars.
Also all PM's could not be imported. Not that I cant do without them, but
if I have them I would love them.

Another thing, In profile > i dont see an option to upload avatar from PC, like it is here on this forum. In my forum, it is just a remote link to avatar.

How to add this feature.

smileys and avatars can be placed in there respective folders.
just upload them.

avatar upload must be enabled through the admin panel, i don't know what version
you have but its in there. avatar settings or attachments and avatars.

I have the latest version 1.07 (upgraded to the latest thro admin cp)

This is the thing I wanted to know.
This forum has the feature which allows user to upload avatars from their pc, but the forum I got, doesnt show this feature.

I am logged in as admin, yetcant find this option.
My forum is version SMF 1.0.7.

scroll down to the avatar section
check the box

I just realised from your post that there was 1.1rc2 also.
Downloaded it and uploading it now.
Lets see if these bugs are there in this release. Then will fix these errors.
It shouldnt take me long. My server's quite ok

make sure your using the update or upgrade, don't use the full install or you'll be sorry

I am uploading the install one. Will just rename the setting.php

Or is there any other trick to it ?

Anyways thanks for the update, I will download the upgrade zip.



PS: will the forum not run if i copy settings.php to this new folder ( install) ?

you already had a forum set up, so upgrde or update was what you needed.
if you downloaded the full 1.1 rc2 install nd uploaded it already, let me know what happened.

I uploaded the upgrade version finally. All looking good

Thank you. Now will look for some skin which can simulate
IPB forum.
