[Final Omen]

Hello,

I'm not too sure what I am doing in the realm of self hosted servers.

I downloaded some Oracle server softwear, and installed it. I was about to access the webpage I created through an IP sort address.

My question is... is it possible to install SMF on a self hosted website? And how using the softwear?

I have had great support from this site before, so I thought this would be the place to go.

Yes, it is of course possible, as long as you install it in a way that people outside your LAN will also be able to open it, thus don't install it from for example http://10.0.0.167/install.php, but from http://64.34.38.292/install.php, or even better http://mydomain.org/install.php.
