I upgraded to 1.1rc2 and it made a backup of the tables in the same database. So now I have backup_ of all my tables.

How to I restore back to those? I know it is not recomended, but I am curious on how this would be done. Reason is I delete a wrong post and I wanted to get it back.

if you like, the on line manual has a brief and easy description on how to do it.
keep smiling, they'll always wonder what your up too.....

It doesn't mention how to just use the ones that are in the same database. This is talking about a whole database. I am talking about the ones that are marked backup_smf in the actual same database.

Well the correct thing to do would be to DROP the ones prefixed with smf and rename the ones prefixed with backup_smf to smf using phpmyadmin...

If you deleted a post, and it exists in the backups, you can try extracting the info from the old tables and inserting it into the working tables. For an individual post, this shouldn't be too difficult, for a thread, it will be a bit more work.
