Orstio

Your problem begins in the topic from which you downloaded bridge 1.1.5.  Please read it again, and pay particular attention to the big bold text.

matjazz

I am using joomla 1.0.9 and SMF 1.0.7

So, which version is the right one?

matjazz

It is working perfectly now  8)

tnx man

I download files from joomla community and I just installed before, now I read your text  :D

Orstio

QuoteI download files from joomla community and I just installed before, now I read your text

This bridge is not available for download anywhere else.  If it is, I would like to know about it, because that is a violation of the SMF license.

matjazz

Here is the list of all smf downloads on joomla portal...

http://extensions.joomla.org/component/option,com_mtree/task,search/Itemid,35/searchword,smf/cat_id,0/

One more question, how can I bridge connection with Community Builder?

Orstio

I'm well aware of the entry on the Joomla extensions site.

The bridge files are not available for download there.  The extensions site links to the topic here at SMF, so that people actually need to see the first post in order to download the bridge.

QuoteOne more question, how can I bridge connection with Community Builder?

You've already done that....

matjazz

yes, but I can't login to the CB component using SMF bridge login

http://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?topic=81152.msg541423#msg541423 Here is file missing for module which is discribet here: http://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?topic=103775.msg671062

Iam using module login who comes with smf and mambo bridge package.

In the SMF configuration is written: Also register into Community Builder? (You must have Community Builder already installed, and be using Bridge Registration)

It seems that this bidge registration it isn't in the package which comes with smf and mambo bridge. I try to find and I can't. Please help!

Orstio

#11
First, let's make sure not to confuse login and registration.  They are two very different things.  The checkbox for "Also register in CB" has nothing at all to do with logging in.  That has to do with registration, not login.

What registration type did you choose?

QuoteIt seems that this bidge registration it isn't in the package which comes with smf and mambo bridge. I try to find and I can't. Please help!

Your bridge registration is here, and it's fine:

http://www.eumoto.net/index.php?option=com_smf_registration&task=register

matjazz

Tnx for info..

The problem is when you try to logon to the site with SMF bridge logon module it only logon you to the SMF and JOOMLA not to CB. You must logon again in diferent field to do that.

Orstio

QuoteThe problem is when you try to logon to the site with SMF bridge logon module it only logon you to the SMF and JOOMLA not to CB. You must logon again in diferent field to do that.

Huh?

If it logs you into Joomla, you are logged into CB.  CB does not have its own session/cookie system -- it uses Joomla's.

matjazz

no wait I check again and It dosen't even logon to joomla

I can't see me in admin panel...

I am logged just in to the SMF when I am logging in from SMF module. Why dosen't logon me also in joomla?

matjazz

Tnx for all answers, it is working well now.

Countinue great work  ;D

matjazz

I was to qiuck, when i log out from joomla I am still log on in forum...

Orstio

In your includes folder is a file named version.php.

In that file, what are the values for $_VERSION->DEV_LEVEL and $_VERSION->PRODUCT ?

I just registered, and logged in.  It seems to be working fine for me.

You are aware that the Joomla login is case sensitive?  If your username is MattJazz, you cannot login as mattjazz.

I try with MaTjAzz and is the same...

Try now

before was:  Back to the SMF Main Page

Now it is: Back to the page from which the user logged in

Quotebefore was:  Back to the SMF Main Page

What does that have to do with whether or not you are getting logged in?

That setting is for the redirect AFTER login.  It has no control whatsoever over whether or not you get logged in.

Now there is something very wrong with the file MOS_SMF.php, because I am getting a 404 error (Page not Found) when I try to login.

Also, why did you change to the wrapper component?  Login and logout will not work in the wrapper component.  You must use the bridge component, not the wrapper component.

matjazz

This logon option doesn't work well, it doesn't logon or logout when you are doing this in joomla.

I can't see this error! mos_smf.php is just like that one post up.

Orstio

The login and logout are now working fine (for both SMF and Joomla) when I use the bridge login module on the main page.

Because you have your forum in the wrapper component, however, that login and logout will have no effect on Joomla.

So, I'll be logon to joomla in case that I logout on forum and reverse?

Ok, no problem, just that I know that this is not a bug...

Orstio

What?

Your login and logout on the forum in the wrapper component will have no effect on Joomla.

That is why you should use the bridge component instead of the wrapper component.

matjazz

I just found the problem.

I wasn't using the right link to the forum.

tnx for all  ;D

matjazz

hy!

Is it possible to transfer ALL users from SMF to JOOMLA at once?

Orstio

matjazz

3.19a i think. This one doesn't have this option available in component like for RC2 I supose...

Orstio

matjazz

I have one problem again...

Encoding is wrong when forum is wrapped. Our language letters are wright viewed only in UTF-8.
When Forum is non wraped all letters are OK in the moment that I wrapped, letters are wrong. in the all other area of Joomla they are OK and encoding is UTF-8.

Some idea?

Kindred

for proper UTF-8, you will have to upgrade to SMF 1.1RC3 (and bridge 1.1.6)

I just download RC3 and upgrade as I am doing when I am upgrading from lover versions? Or there is some other "tricks"?

tnx

Kindred

nope.
download 1.1.rc3. upgrade smf.
download bridge 1.1.6.
uninstall whatever bridge you currently have installed (completely)
install bridge 1.1.6

It is me again  8)

I have now same site with almost the same configuration. joomla 1.0.11 Stable and RC3 SMF and bridge 1.1.6

And the site is not working as it should be. In firefox is almost OK, but in Explorer not at all as it supposed to be: http://www.eunautica.net/index.php?option=com_smf&Itemid=34

I looked in SMF packages and there is nothing installed. I am not shore if it should be?

Any suggestions?

Kindred

hmmmm.   You will have to be more specific...   since we don't know how you WANT your site to look, we have no idea what "... it supposed to be"
(it looks fine to me, in IE6.)

It is not displayed full site. Just first couple of bords.

The next think is when you go in ADMIN console in SMF you need to set password for every clik. This is not normal  ;) ::)

Kindred

turn off compression in SMF

do you have the discussbot loaded?

Orstio

You need this on the bottom of your Joomla template:

<?php mysql_select_db($GLOBALS['db_name']); ?>

matjazz

Tnx Orstio  8)

This was it. Until now i had it unwrapped.

matjazz

One new question!

Is it possible to look at forum as WAP page when is bridged?

Orstio

QuoteIs it possible to look at forum as WAP page when is bridged?

Yes, but it does not appear wrapped.

matjazz

/component/option,com_smf/Itemid,97/lang,en/  this is the origin link. How it should look like for wap? I tryed some combination's and doesn't work.

Orstio

/component/option,com_smf/Itemid,97/lang,en/wap,wap

matjazz

One new thing.

When I enabled .htaccess and SEF I don't get #new in the end of the url when I click on "show me the last post".

In one other portal with same components is working fine...

matjazz

Tnx. Now I am waiting to try ArtiojoomSEF for SMF  8)

matjazz

Mabe you will know  8)

I have double link problems with ArstioSEF when I click on some board or threat.

I get this error:
FILE NOT FOUND: smf/international/general-discussion/welcome,/www.eunautica.net/smf/international/general-discussion/welcome/msg11.html

If I copy just end of the link is working fine. (www.eunautica.net/smf/international/general-discussion/welcome/msg11.html)

This component I think that wasn't test with Orstio bidge.

Any idea?

Orstio

The bridge is not currently compatible with ArtioSEF.  That is for a future release.

I get some fix from someone and is working now.

Thing is:

2 portals, same settings same files used for instalation...

One work fine the other one NOT!

In this other there is still address like: joomla/smf/board,52.0/lang,si
In the other is right: si/smf/international/general-discussion.html

THE SAME CONFIGURATION! I gave up... And also is problem with login in admin area in the other one. You need to type pass for every move. I try to include:<?php mysql_select_db($GLOBALS['db_name']); ?>

When I switched OFF ArstioSEF is OK again.

Orstio I can send you modified file for your help.

Orstio

QuoteI get some fix from someone and is working now.

From whom did you get this "fix" ?  Bridge files should not be redistributed...

matjazz

Not for bridge, for ArstioSEF modification.  ;D
