Call me stupid, but which is newer and more stable?

Okay, which is the newer version?  1.0.7 or 1.1RC?

I am not sure which way to read the list.  I have 1.0.7 installed, but want to be sure to have the latest in security updates.

1.0.7 is the newest of the stable branch, while 1.1 RC2 is the newest of the less stable branch. With 1.0.7 you have the latest in security updates.
