I cant get Swedish letters to work å ä ö in forum... they just disappear!
And I cant use mods... telling me they need to be chmoded... but they are!

Which version of SMF are you using? There are some internationalization issues which are fixed in SMF 1.1 RC3

Check all files are chmoded 777. You should also check if there is a temp directory in the packages folder (which also needs to be 777)

I use 1.1rc2 with tiny portal... friend of my use the same setup and hes swedish letters work... where do I find rc3?


everything is chmoded 777 and there is a temp dir chmoded 777 in Packages dir
I downloaded avatars throu Packeges and that worked... weird?

RC3 is not out publically yet. It has been released to charter members, and will be out to everyone else soon.

ok, thats bad

But now the Packeges work.. I chmoded whole httdoc and everything in with 777... thats kinda gay but it works.

Are you running MySQL 4.1 or higher?

Did you choose to use UTF-8 during the upgrade or through the admin area > Forum Maintenance?

I got it to work.... I added UTf-8 language packs!
