Trying to move to new domain

I was trying to move my forum that I have to a new domain and I changed the server settings to the new location, but I was unable to login to manage the board.  I'm very new to SMF and would greatly appreciate any help anyone could give me on how to make this move.

Why were you unable to login? Did you get an error? What version of SMF?

I'm not sure why I couldn't login.  It didn't recognize my username and assumingly my password that I had set up where the forum was originally located.

What all do I need to do to move my forum from one folder on one domain to a new folder in another domain?

You should use repair_settings.php file. It will set all necessary settings.

You can also try loggin in with your emailadress or ask for a passwordreminder. Have you tried that?
