Just a comment.
Install a test forum with the new version from scratch and see if it works with your host.
Make a backup of your online forum to do testing on. It's not hard to do, seach.. there are detailed instructions on how to do it.  This is a MUST do, esp for those that have a lot of mods or custom themes.
This is a beta release, use on a production forum at your own risk.
Tiny Portal, or any Portal ( CMS ), or any gallery, or anything you have Integrated with SMF.. CHECK with them to see if it works with the latest BETA before you upgrade.
Rant ended.

I upgraded from 1.0.8 to 1.1RC3 flawlessly :)

But, I screwed up my forum with uncompatible mods then reinstalled 1.1RC3 flawlessly, and I never had to change the database once. Thanks for the release SMF team.

RC3 seems pretty solid, but updating my custom theme was a bit of a pain. This time I made a change log though, so updating for 1.1 Final should be a cinch :)

Keep up the good work guys!

I use a freeware tool ZipGenius. Not as good as Winzip but for freeware it is not to far off.  ;)

As traditionally said, "it will be ready when it is ready". No set release dates and it will be never set until it is actually released.

Lavau

That's odd ! Every update or upgrade files to RC3 are empty ! Whichever is the format.

works great for me, did an upgrade and a new install and both files worked without issue.
