Upgrade problems from 1.0 RC2 to 1.1 RC3

So I thought I'd take a big jump and just go from 1.0 RC2 to 1.1 RC3. Hmm, not so good an idea. Site is hxxp:www.nashvillebellydance.com [nonactive]

While upgrade.php seemed to run successfully, I'm getting some major weirdness when I try to see 'latest posts since your last visit':

When I look in database admin, it says I am still using SMF 1.0 RC2. None of the Forum Maintenance tools seem to help, though they all say they work.

I am running MySQL 4.1.14 on Linux.

Should I try the upgrade to 1.0.8 and see if that helps? The forums mostly work, but things like the above don't work, and the login box for mambo doesn't work either (I'm starting to think I need to start this site over from scratch).
