Ok. But is there another way to install the mods then?

J. Williams

Yes, extract the zip on your pc; and follow the instructions in the install.xml or install.mod file provided :P

Ok. I'll admit i'm a noob to SMF. But it looks and works best i ever seen.
Is that hard to do? And also is there a risk of messing the forum up?

J. Williams

The risk is possible, so backup your forum :D Nope, feel free to ask questions if you don't understand the way its laid out :P

WOW. I give up. That stuff looks so hard to do in that file. And i know this is not the topic to ask but how do i do a forum backup?

J. Williams

Go to FTP and download the entire  forum directory, then go to forum maintenance and download a SQL Backup :P

Ok. wil do that now. BTW my RC2 had to make 2 updates. That updates was installed wihout any problem. But after that it didnt wanna install any other mods. There are 2 updates to be exact

J. Williams

I would recommend an upgrade to SMF 1.1 RC 3 since RC2 is out-of-date
