SMF Version: SMF 1.1 RC3
Hello,

I've made a testforum, so I can first test the upgrade (from RC2 to RC3).
So I installed a full RC2, copied the DB from the 'live' forums.
Did the update to RC3, and now I get an copyright error.

But that's odd, because we have this on the bottom in the templates:
<td valign="middle" align="center" style="white-space: nowrap;">
', forum_copyright(), '
</td>

So now I'm wondering where the forum_copyright() function is being declared

I think it's because of the DB, with a clean (full) install, the error about the copyright is gone...

Link please? Also, have you tried correcting the paths?

What is repair_settings.php?

Your suggestion about repair_settings.php will be tested now!

EDIT: I tried the repair_settings.php, but the thing is... I can't see if it works, because I do see the copyright notice... But an other admin from the forum, says that he sees a copyright notice...

I see copyright :)

Ctrl + F5 to clear cache should make it go away if you still see it

Will try that, but does this mean that I have the problem, or the other admins?

EDIT:
I still have the problem after a ctrl + F5 and even when I completly delete the temp. internet files...

Since this is working:
http://www.appieskamertjuh.nl/testsmf/index.php?language=english

I'd recommend uploading the dutch languagefiles again. Make sure to use the version for 1.1RC3.

Hmmm... Indeed, with English as language it is working... And not with the Dutch language...

I tried to reinstall the Dutch language pack, but that doesn't fix the error... :(

In which file is the copyright notice set, and on which line?

Could it be something in the database, because we tried to reinstall the Dutch language pack, which didn't had any effect, and even tried to reinstall the files from the Sources folder...

Copyright notice is set in the files /Themes/default/languages/index.dutch.php at line 413:

$forum_copyright = '<a href="http://www.simplemachines.org/" title="Simple Machines Forum" target="_blank">Powered by ' . $forum_version . '</a> |
<a href="http://www.simplemachines.org/about/copyright.php" title="Free Forum Software" target="_blank">SMF &copy; 2001-2006, Lewis Media</a>';

The only entry in the database for the forumlanguage would be in the table smf_settings.

Thanks, I've checked the file and at line 413 I have the copyright notice...
So it has to be a problem within the template or something?

We get this error as soon as we upgrade our 1.1RC2 to 1.1RC3...

Could be. If it works on the default theme, it's a template issue.
