Greetings,

    I use the forum for an organizations website.  I was wondering if there is or could be a way to have something that would allow the members (of selected groups) to confirm that they are going to attend an event (say a meeting). With out the need of having each person add a post to the thead? It would be easy to see who signed up and who did not.

For example
    On the calendar I place an event for June 3, 2004 "Meeting: Smokey Joe's Café" and for who needs to RSVP... "Team-A"

    When a member of "Team-A" goes to the calendar/posting they could have a link or a button to push that would add them to the list of scheduled attendees which then can be viewed.

Hmmm that sounds pretty cool, so its kinda a vote, just in the calender, I dont really see this being used so much only on social gatherings and such but sounds pretty cool.

I would like to see this.

An alternative may be a poll that lets you see who has voted for each option.

I think this is something that could be addressed when we do an overhaul the the calendar system.  You may have to remind us though.

I've just been looking for exactly the same functionality.  I'm a member of an organisation that's called hxxp:www.meetup.com [nonactive] and I was looking for similar RSVP functionality in here.

Back again....... Any progress with this, or maybe someone else knows of a mod out there to do the RSVP thing?
