phpbb smilies to SMF

I am porting a phpbb forum to SMF 1.1 RC3 and it asked me if I wish to import the smilies from the phpbb forum.

I chose yes, but when I go into the admin -> smilies page I see...

Sorry for such an obvious question, but how do I fix this???

Try uploading the smilies you want to the smiley/default directory and see if that helps.

Came to the same answer after randomly uploading the gifs to the smileys directory.
