Log profile changes

Hi,

I would really like a feature that sends an email (or PM) to admins or moderators when a user changes his profile.

I tried to do it myself by putting a sendmail() php command  with the old and new user variables in profile.php in modifyProfile() or modifyProfile2(), but it doesn't even send it. Any help, and could this become a standard feature?
