Thread with "-6" replies??

Somehow, one of my threads has -6 replies listed in the Message Index. It actually has 12 posts in it (though it did have several deleted which was what seemed to cause the problem).

Any ideas why this happened, and is there a way to stop it happening again?

There's a bug in quick moderation - the checkboxes with "delete selected" - that does this.

There is an menu option in the admin menu for recounting all board totals.
