Good Idea or Not ???

I added a package that installed a chat room near the bottom of my forum. Do you think this was a good idea or should I start off without a chat room. I was using it as an incentive for people to want to stay on my board longer then 5 minutes or so.

Well it is really up to you, what you thin is right.

I think it is a good idea, as long as you keep it updated. It will keep the members interested.

Ultimately it is up to you if you keep it or not

I was thinking it was an alright idea. I'm still going to be using this forum soley for getting used to running a forum and learning more coding along the way. I beleive I have the intellgience though to become sucessful.

Thats how i started, with some pro-boards a year ago, and I have worked up since It is a good way.

Also a good software to mess around with so that you can learn PHP is use phpBB, you mostly manually install the mods, so try it

I have phpBB on my server that I'm hosted with. I was using their forums but I didn't like them too much. I might have what your talking about confused with something else. I'm not sure. I need a place where I can learn PHP easily with a tutorial that goes step by step basically and gives examples.
