Upgrading to RC3 from RC2

I am confused whether to use UPDATE PACKAGE or UPGRADE PACKAGE.

I was going to use UPDATE package but then I read "Except when you have mods installed"

I have some modifications installed in my RC2 forum.

Do I have to uninstall them and then upgrade to RC3?
Or I just do it straight away?

Please suggest!

you may want to uninstall your mods first, as a lot of mods are not compatible with rc3.
even if you don't uninstall them, they will get wiped out, i know mine did.
then i would suggest the update package, after which you can re install your favorite mods, provided there compatible with the new version.
