You have to find a niche. Something that you have that people want and are willing to pay for. Which I might add is very hard to do on the net these days as there are forums everywhere. Ads help to I guess but if you can get paying members your all set.

Really you need to sell something.

Very few people manage to make a sucessful forum from ads alone.

The are lots of good articles about being a full time site admin over at Webmasterworld.

Ahh, so you make a how-to-get-rich-with-forums forum. Reminds me of the saying, the best way to get-rich-quick is to write a get-rich-quick book :P
