the other day my site was hit by a DOS attack and my hosting moved me to another server.
in the move I lost all post icons, new reply icons & all smileys.

can someone help me? Everything else shows but a few graphics after changing to a different theme.

You probably need to upload, run, remove repair_settings.php. Internal pointers to images directory probably still set to old location.

http://www.simplemachines.org/download/index.php?thanks;filename=repair_settings.php

[EDIT: Hmm, that might not be it after all. I can see the properties are pointing to a file that does exist. But even a direct access of the graphic doesn't display it; it just hangs.]

I have ran that many times over and over. I dont understand why the images arent getting repaired.
i remove it after each run, but none of the mages ever show up.

even if I click on an image in the cpanel, get its address and open it in a new window it wont show.

I guess i need to find new images and just upload them in to the forum directory where i installed the smf?

As noted in my edit, I saw that this was the case. The files are there, but they just won't display.

Could it be some kind of an htaccess issue?

I really am not sure uploading into the forum will help you any.

What should the values be set at for htaccess in the themes folder?
Right now its 666, should it too be set at 755 - 777 or ?

No. An .htaccess file (note the leading period).

If something's been incorrectly put in one (and it can be in directory from the images sub-dir on up) which is meant to, say, prevent image hotlinking, it could prevent graphics from being accessible.

I note that graphics from the default theme aren't displaying now even though once again, the files show up in the directory listing and they don't show up even if directly accessed.

Holy shayite I am a idiot! I didnt put the access to my own site on the image hotlink program in the cpanel.
You are my hero for the day!
Thank you!
