Turn off alternating post colors??

I'm pretty new to SMF, and I'm trying to get the colors, either in the default theme or a new one, to stop alternating. I think it'll involve some minor coding changes, but can anyone point me in the right direction on how to go about doing this?

p.s. I have no html experience, but have someone else in my organization who does.
