MODS that did work under RC2 but won't under RC3

Is there anything I can do to encourage a MOD Developer to upgrade or update their MOD(s)

I have posted in the forums (using the link to each specific mod's forum) requests for an update/upgrade to the MOD ... or have notified them of an install problem when a MOD is supposedly updated but I get an error when installing it.

I have emailed or PM'd the developer (when the post didn't result in any response)  ... but still have not received any responses.

If a developer is NOT going to do any more work on the MOD ... fine & dandy.  No problem.  I can search for another alternative.   I would just appreciate knowing IF an update or answer is going to be forthcoming ... or if I should be searching for an alternative.   And I can't believe I am the only SMF user that is finding themselves in the same boat.

Sorry if I am sort of an old fashioned kind of guy.   I just feel the users of the mods are entitled to know what is going on with it ... and not be just totally ignored.   And if the MOD developers are not willing to commit to a wee bit of courtesy ... then maybe their mods do not belong on SMF.
