I successfully uploaded the recent version of SMF Gallery Pro back into my forum after a recent upgrade to SMF 2.1.4. What I noticed after renewing SMF Gallery Pro was that all of the previous photo albums titles and folders text showed up but the images themselves are not showing. All of the original gallery albums and content are still inside a folder located inside my file manager in a folder named - forum/mgal_data/albums/ folder

How do I successfully migrate all of those pics back into to their respective folders within the updated SMF Gallery Pro?

Check your gallery url settings.
Get image link location of the broken image. Check what folder it goes to/url
That should give some clues on next step.

Here's a screen shot of this strange folder named mgal_data that contains all the previous images from my earlier and older version of Gallery Pro. They been switched to some type of text file but still contain the original image name? At a total loss as to how to properly migrate them back to the Gallery?

And all the pics inside the albums are  text/x-generic files  Is that normal?

I would need to see a broken image url. Could be a permission problem.
Could be files don't exist in the path.

When I try and use the direct link url in my browser I get the following error:  Not Found

The requested URL was not found on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

VladTepes is me, forum admin.

I have not been attempting to use the gallery AT ALL. so these errors are unrelated to actual gallery use, per se.
 
Can anyone point me in the direction of what on earth might be happening here?

Is the gallery still installed? And do you have SMF Gallery Pro installed.

Looks like missing language strings.

Do you have multipe languages setup? Also check the langauge strings in themes/default/modifications.english.php from the gallery is in all your themes folder that have languages/modifications.english.php

Just updating everyone who happens to be reading this - per advice on SMFHacks pro forum I installed v10 over the top of v9 and it seems all good so far

OK I think there's a setting I missed somewhere that appears to be a change in the new version.
I ASSUME this is a gallery issue - the 'recent items' showing (see screenshot) - where would I disable that please?

I've upgraded an old 2.0.19 forum to 2.1.4 that's running a very old version of gallery lite (3.7) that I extensively modified back in 2014.  Wouldn't be able to repeat the modifications in current version (brain fog ), but it works fine in 2.1.4 php 8.0.  There were some formatting problems which I've fixed, and several recurring errors.  The one remaining is this -

Error occurs when redirecting from image to gallery main.  It's also been occurring on 2.0.19 forum.  Happens in php 7.4 and 8.0, not in 5.6.  Doesn't affect performance, it's just annoying.  Any idea how to fix it?

That version is very old I would need to see that template file and look at the line.
But I think you could be missing this language string

$txt['gallery_text_returngallery']

In the language file.
