SMF bridge won't uninstall - large errors on top of pages

After trying to install the SMF bridge component downloaded off the official SMF site, I've got these large errors at the top of my screen. Uninstalling the component didn't help nor has any combination of options in the component itself.

Those errors are the result of trying to install bridge 1.1.6 onto a SMF 1.0.8 forum.

You need to uninstall the SMF_Header_include bot, the mod_smf_login module, and also the com_smf_registration component.
