Package manager want except my 1.1 RC3 zip file ??

I have removed all mods and I'm using the default theme to upgrade from 1.1 RC2  to 1.1 RC3 and have not been able to update or upgrade. For some reason the package manager keeps telling me that this is not a package or it has been corrupted ! I've tryed down loading the zip file, "update" and "upgrade" to my computer, several times. And get the same results. Anyone got any ideas ?

You can't upgrade through the package manager. You will need to extract all the files from the archive to your computer, upload them to your SMF directory with FTP and run upgrade.php. See http://docs.simplemachines.org/index.php?board=3.0;sort=subject for more info.

  After hours of reading, you would think even a dummy like me would know that, but NO, NOT ME.
Just finished uploading the upgrade and everything looks good...Thanks again and sorry for being a pain in the @ss.
