trouble adding an image to index.template.php

In 1.1 rc3,  I am having problems adding this image to the header area (on the right side of the header table)

in 1.1rc2, I was able to add

in Forum/Themes/classic/index.template.php

but that doesn't seem to be working in 1.1rc3 for some reason..

in earlier versions I just added it to

/ The logo, user information, news, and menu.


area, just above the ending </tr>  to close the table area.

I am editing the file directly in FTP, the changes are being saved, but the new code doesn't show up on the board..  is this the proper place I'm supposed to be adding it in 1.1rc3?  thats where I always put it in previous versions (shrugs)

where am I supposed to put it then? 

I want that image, along with  "Grab your Coffee and Come on In" to display underneath the image,  on the right side of the user info stuff..

to the right of those header links

ok you guys, please, I need some help here.. I can't seem to get the image to line up right..

I want this image

I've tried floating it, creating a new table cell for it, nothing seems to be working

I had this working just fine in 1.1rc2 and 1.0.7, darnit   I can't figure out what HTML code to use and where to put it in the index.template.php file   please someone help me.

So far, this is the closest I've been able to get



...and as you can see, the width isn't near wide enough...
I have tried  style="width: 50%"  I've tried  "width: 200px"  nothing seems to be working
I've tried floating the image and text to the right side, that isn't working either

any suggestions at all?  I'm about pulling my hair out on this one

ok I think we figured something out..

I tried adding

Koodi [Valitse] Laajenna

after line 291 in index.template.php

and then I changed line 223 from

Koodi [Valitse] Laajenna


<td colspan="2" width="100%" valign="top" class="windowbg2"><span class="middletext">';


to

Koodi [Valitse] Laajenna


<td width="50%" valign="top" class="windowbg2"><span class="middletext">';


and that seemed to work

when I tried to test it for guest users,  I tried to logoff and I keep getting this error
trying to logoff the forum.

"Unable to verify referring url. Please go back and try again."

what that mean?
