upgrade. 1.02 to 1.08

I've done the fantastico upgrade through my cpanel and got the blank index page problem. Searched through posts that told me to rerun upgrade.php. However when I do that I get:

I to to settings.pho to see if I can correct something there and edit the file, however settings.php is EMPTY.

Any advice? Thanks.

Looks like Fantastico managed to break your settings.php.

Copy the settings_bak.php and rename it settings.php. You might want to try downloading the upgrade package from this site, uploading and then running upgrade.php
