SMF Version: SMF 1.1 RC3
I've been modifying Gaia's UseBB Port theme and have run into a problem with the "topmenu_bg.jpg" graphic. I'm trying to get the graphic to show up in the banner at the top of the page, while keeping the category boxes "black."

The problem is that when I modify the style sheet, I get one of the two following outcomes:

I have very little experience with CSS. You can click here to view the style sheet that I've started modifying. [nofollow] I'd appreciate your help in modifying it so that I can have the banner graphic as seen in the first image and the "black" category boxes as seen in the second image.

Thanks so much for your help!

It's not a refresh problem, unfortunately. I believe something needs to be modified with the style sheet. Thanks for the suggestion though.

Please provide a link to a forum with the theme installed.

You need to use a different class for the header.
"Never imagine yourself not to be otherwise than what it might appear to others that what you were or might have been was not otherwise than what you had been would have appeared to them to be otherwise."

Can you provide some info on how to do this? I'm still new to this coding stuff, so your help would be appreciated.

Well find the following in index.template.php and change class="catbg" to something else. It might be a little complex, so read some tutorials about CSS.

<div class="tborder" >
<table width="100%" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" border="0">
<tr>
<td class="catbg" height="32">
"Never imagine yourself not to be otherwise than what it might appear to others that what you were or might have been was not otherwise than what you had been would have appeared to them to be otherwise."

Thanks so much for your help! I figured things out and the forum is looking good.
