Im running the same template as the default one on here.

Can I alter the width of the forum template??? I would love it to be at a fixed width of 800 pixels.

any help would be great.

Ravyn

the easiest way to do this is to place your entire forum within a table with a width of 800

Thanks for the reply.

Will this work?

someone told me I would have to alter the code within the forum index.php file?

Ravyn

To place your entire forum within a new table, you will have to alter index.template.php in the folder of the theme you are using.

I posted this once somewhere else, but here it is again:

Open index.template.php

Find:

<body>

Replace with:

<body><table width="800"><tr><td>

Find:

</body>

Replace with:

</td></tr></table>

You can change the value of the width variable in the table to whatever width you'd like it to be, be it a percentage or pixel width.
