Missing PM button in the Milk Man theme?

I would have contacted the author, but it seems like his site is down/gone for the time being.

The PM button in the top row is missing, which makes it really hard for folks to access their PM boxes. I really like this theme and would like to continue using it.

I am admittedly new to this stuff, but I can generally understand what's what in the code. I went through the index.php file and found where the button was being called- it LOOKS like all should be fine, and it's set up like the other buttons. I can even see the top curve of the button in my browsers, and click on it, and it works and will take me there, but it won't write the bottom half of the button so most people just see it as an error and don't know it works.

Any thoughts? Thanks in advance!

Okay. Well, it's not just the one theme, apparently- it's every theme. I think I'm officially in the wrong forum. Sorry!
