Hey,
Look at one of my websites done with SMF:
hxxp:www.3ermartidot.to.md/index.php [nonactive]
I've tried to change all the background from white to black, but there's always this white in the top and the bottom... What can I do to change it?
Thanks ;)

http://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?topic=118477.0 You read this? just leave out the image line and apply it to your style.css file in Admin, worked for me. I have a problem with white areas too but its different to yours, lol. http://rfgsite.kollectivz.com/lightdivision/index.php

I got rid of the white round the outside by using the script I mentioned above but I cannot get rid of the inner white areas as I ccan't find the right line to edit, and yes I have seen the tutorial. I am using the yabb board.

I edited the style.css to get rid of the outer white areas on my forum, I have tried the style.css to get rid of the inner areas but can't find the right code, perhaps it is in the index template?

This work, credit goes to Juan Hernandez and HarzeM - I want to share with users who need this  ;D
This make a similar outlook like here in Support Board.

index.template.php

Code: (find)
</head>
<body>';

Code: (replace)
</head>
<body>
<div id="box" style="padding: 15px;">';

Code: (find)
</body></html>';
}

Code: (replace)
</div>
</body></html>';
}

style.css
Replace the color in the borter tag.

Code: (add)
#box{
   width: 95%;
   height: 100%;
   background: #fefefe;
   margin: 0 auto 0 auto;
   border: 3px solid #COLOR HERE;
}

Code: (find)
/* The main body of the entire forum. */
body
{
background-color: #E5E5E8;
margin: 0px;
padding: 12px 30px 4px 30px;
}

Change the background-color: #E5E5E8; to what ever color you want
