Where is the database stored? (newbie)

Hi,

I'm trying to get the hang of smf. I'm using godaddy and installed it from their website.

My admin panel (on godaddy) says I have 0 mySql databses installed.

I'm trying to figure out how to back up the database, but can't figure out where it is?? There is a file calles sources... but the files dont seem to have data in them?

I dont have myPhpadmin installed (looks comlicated to install for a newbie).

Anyway, I'm just trying to find my data, and a way to save it.

P.S. I know it can be done in smf admin, but it creates such a small file, I'm worried it might not be working right?

If your board is pretty new and you don't have many posts/members your file will be small. It takes quite a bit of info to even make your filesize reach a couple of MG's. You can always open the file and view whats inside to see what you've got. Of course another way, you could use the create_backup.php script in this post.
