How cool is SMF!!!

I've been running phpBB for around 4 years. Applying mods to it was such a pain that I removed them all to save me the couple of hours reapplying them every time there was an upgrade. The captcha was less than useless and I finally had enough recently when being constantly bot attacked.

Installed SMF, imported my entire phpBB board, changed the theme, realised I'd picked a theme that only worked in RC3 so upgraded to that, applied advanced captcha and spam-me-not mods and the whole lot was done in a couple of hours.

Given I've never been near SMF before I'm as impressed as hell.

Add to that the ease of use in the Admin centre and the accessibility/usability features such as the "Listen to the letters" for captcha, major kudos there and I'm one very happy bunny and will be recommending SMF all over the place.

Ummmmmm, the name is 2 letters shorter than the other one so it's quicker to type?

Also, SMF is the only forum software that doesn't have a "B" in its name.

True, there are no Bs in it. A real advantage if you've lost that key on your key8oard. One question though where did the U and the R go?

I love that SMF is 3 letters and when you google it you can see stock prices for SMF whoever they are, stock seems to be stabilizing though.

Yeah I Noticed That To. I Have To Say In My Opinion SMF Is Better Than IPB. I Never Noticed Though That SMF Is The Only One Without A 'B'
