I've had a good look and search around the forum but don't seem to be able to find how to create a link back to my orginial site in Forum version: SMF 1.1 RC3.

There were some sugestions in 2004, but that just gave me an overall error. I assume that I need to make a modification to index.template.php.

I tried:
Lainaa// Show the menu here, according to the menu sub template.
   template_menu();

    echo ' <a href="hxxp:www.trueflow-user.eu [nonactive]">Trueflow User site</a>

adding the echo line above but just got a huge error message.

Any other suggestions?

Many thanks for any input.

You could create a new tab if you are using the default theme. Well you can do this with any other theme to but for the default it is like this. In index.template.php:

// Show the [put button name here] button.
echo ($current_action == 'new name' || $context['browser']['is_ie4']) ? '<td class="maintab_active_' . $first . '">&nbsp;</td>' : '' , '
<td valign="top" class="maintab_' , $current_action == 'new name' ? 'active_back' : 'back' , '">
<a href="', $scripturl, '?action=newname">' , $txt[119] , '</a>
</td>' , $current_action == 'help' ? '<td class="maintab_active_' . $last . '">&nbsp;</td>' : '';

If you wanted a tab that would link to an off site url try this:

// Show a [new] button.
      echo ($current_action == 'newaction' || $context['browser']['is_ie4']) ? '<td class="maintab_active_' . $first . '">&nbsp;</td>' : '' , '
            <td valign="top" class="maintab_' , $current_action == 'newaction' ? 'active_back' : 'back' , '">
               <a href="http://www.yourlinkhere.com">linktext</a>
            </td>' , $current_action == 'newaction' ? '<td class="maintab_active_' . $last . '">&nbsp;</td>' : '';

I guess I also should have mentioned that this tab should go with the rest of them around the bottom of the index.template.php file.
