Portal type system

I have Tiny portal installed but i'm removing it and making my own type of portal system, I was just wondering if there was a way for me to remove the header part of my forum so it would go along with the template I made for it to be housed in, what file would I edit, index.php? or is there another file just made specifically for the header, like in phpbb?

that doesn't really answer my question.. I was just wondering what file I would edit to change the mainlook of the front page :/

If you follow the guide it will help you understand how to change the skin/theme as needed.

There are also other guides around the site that will help you embed smf in your own scripts.
