Installation problem: Can't get beyond Step 1 (Choose domain)

First, please understand I'm a novice user, so most likely that's my biggest problem.

I'm trying to install Simple Machines Forum 1.0 on my site hosted by GoDaddy.
Step 1 (Choose domain) is a breeze...no problem.
Step 2 (Prep account) ...I assign a name for my SMF database, and create a database password (12 characters with 9 lower case letters, two upper case letters and one number). After I do this, I click the CONTINUE button, and guess what...the Step 2 screen reappears as if nothing happened. I can't get beyond this step.

What am I doing wrong? HELP is welcome.
