backup problem

hi,
i have smf as forum for my website.
275+ users and i made a backup.
when i tried to restore the backup a week later i noticed no one could login.
reading this site forums, i see you need a salt value for each password.
but in the mysql the salt is missing.
every other field in the backup is successful except the salt value.

how can this be included in the backup.

ps, this is for v1.0.8

The salt is taken from the username.

I moved my smf forum from 1and1.com Web Hosting to my newly purchased web server that I have root access to.  I backed up the website and the database at 1and1 and put everything to my website on my server and it worked fine.  The salt value was in my SQl database.
