Allows forum members to add up to five World of Warcraft characters to be displayed in their profile and when they post.

Calimarina

I just installed it. Works like a charm. Awesome mod too!

This doesnt seem to work with the theme "Wow-DK" found here:

http://themes.simplemachines.org/index.php?lemma=78

After clicking on "Wow Characters" it gives the following error:

"Unable to load the 'wowchar' template."

Any suggestions?

Bigguy

try moving a copy of the template into the theme folder you are using. It might work.

Calimarina

Can't seem to figure this one out. Some of my users are getting this error when they try to save their profile for the WoW settings

"You don't have the permissions to go about removing people's accounts!"

Calimarina

Okay I figured it out. It's because I had it so people could not delete their own account this made it so people could not edit their own WoW Character Profiles.

Daemonist

A few manual additions to the theme I'm using, and this works excellent!

Thank you

karamanliev

Hm, can't figure out how to install it to a theme different from the default one :-\

I don't quite understand what you are suggesting.  If I copy the default template into my WoW theme(folder), that will screw up my theme, correct?

karamanliev

I've managed to install the addon. You should do it manually. More information here: http://docs.simplemachines.org/index.php?topic=402

Hope this will help you.

It installed Just fine.

My only question is on the mouseover, was curious if you could change the background color/graphic. It's transparent and is near impossible to read on my forum.

I edited the profiles.css but that didn't work.

Example of what I mean: http://www.therisenguild.net/index.php?topic=5610.0

Apparently these threads are created automatically. :)

I'm looking into the cause of that crazy, "You don't have the permissions to go about removing people's accounts!" error.

@dreadk
Not sure why your mouseover backgrounds are transparent. I'm not having that issue on my forum. It's possible some other aspect of your page is messing with the CSS.

Just uploaded 1.3.5, which should resolve the permissions error.

Got it Fixed,

Heh, thought I checked it but didn't.

Had to manually link the profiles.css from the theme I was in.

Very neat mod.

Karamanliev,

Thank you very much for showing me this resource! I was trying to figure out what I needed to edit, but gave up in failure.  After looking at this information I saw what I was doing wrong.  Woot!

londonhogfan

can we get this to work for 1.1?

using the latest version I Get this error...

Installations actions for "WoW Character Profiles":
The package you are trying to download or install is either corrupt or not compatible with this version of SMF.

yutt

I haven't updated my forums to 1.1, but I believe you should be able to simply change any reference of "1.1 RC3" to "1.1" in package-info.xml.

I will see what I can do about updating the mod, but I have no way of testing it, atm.

dreadk

That's what I did   (changed RC3 1.1 to just 1.1)

Example: www.therisenguild.net

Installed fine no problems

yutt

Updated for easy 1.1 and 1.1.1 installation, since people keep asking. ;D

Odai

thank you for the update and thank you karamanliev for that wonderful doc on how to install mods manually
