Should I add a blog?

I was thinking of a front end blog with a "discuss" at the end of the article.  Or should I have a link at the top of the forums?  My site is of the type Superman vs. ? and So and so versus whatever, so I'm thinking people visiting may be immediately wanting to see something like that instead of just putting in their two cents, but others will want to discuss it.  An instead of having only a blog, and no forum, I thought a forum would be good because there are a lot of small battles that others might want to start because the forum gives a good short to the point way to entertain.  I don't know if people want to see the discussions first or an article.

Thanks for thoughts.

For example, I saw this site:

http://thehouseofpolitics.com/ [nofollow]

Is that using Tiny Portal?  Thank you again.

Panzer-

Well if users on your forum want to discuss a post, why dont they reply to it? Threads are practically blogs. If you want to lock the post after say a story, make the topic, write the story out and then make a new topic called Story Discussion or whatever.

(that site is using Tinyportal)
