Session verification failed! - On Admin, Logout...

I have the latest version of SMF which is avaliblae to me (Beta 5) running on sourceforge.net

Now when I try to log out and/or perform any administrative functions I get this error:

Session verification failed. Please try logging out and back in again, and then try again.

Now I tried this in IE6, Mozilla, Konqueror + Opera and I get the same error

(Tried it on Mandrake 10.0 and Windows XP)

Any tips on how to fix it?

Interesting. I got the same error message on logout the first time. Then I clicked a little around in the forum and clicked the logout button a 2nd time - when it worked fine. Using MSIE 6.

Yeah - It sometimes works - and sometimes it does not!

I had this same trouble on my first install. I got frustrated, and deleted the whole install.

After sturggling with invision for a few days, I figured "what the hell, Simple seems much better, and it's really only this one problem i have", so i did a fresh re-install of Simple.......and everything works GREAT. All i can figure is a corrupted file during upload.

Why not try it......... Couldn't hurt

Known session problems with sourceforge.net.  You can either search for sourceforge, or look up the help they have on the subject - it involves using session_save_path().
