but did you ever had those errors, since you've installed this mod?
Or any other change (or mod) has made, meantime?

If you used to apply modifications manually, can you post here the code's blocks modified?
And in any case, can you show here how the mod came applied to your post.template?

Ok, eventually it seems to be all right, it's to easy to make mistakes.

Now, the only two things that you have to chek are:

/Sources/Subs.php

array(
'tag' => 'youtube',
'type' => 'unparsed_commas_content',
'test' => '\d+,\d+\]',
'content' => '<object type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="$2" height="$3" data="http://www.youtube.com/v/$1"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/$1"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param></object>',
'validate' => create_function('&$tag, &$data, $disabled', '
if (isset($disabled[\'url\']))
$tag[\'content\'] = \'$1\';'),
'disabled_content' => '<a href="$1" target="_blank">$1</a>',
),
array(
'tag' => 'hr',
'type' => 'closed',
'content' => '<hr />',
'block_level' => true,
),

And in Themes/default/languages/modifications.Yourlanguage.php:

Quote$txt['youtube'] = 'YouTube';

Don't understand where is the issue..there's no opportunity to make mistakes.

Functionality works, but is there supposed to be a button now in the BBC menu for the youtube funciton? If there is I cant seem to get it to show up. I've moved the gif into the correct directory for my custom theme and added the line in post.template.php. followed the directions exactly and i still dont have a youtube gif button?

tatore

the direction is: Themes/yourtheme/images/bbc/youtube.gif
Let us know if it is displayed after.  ;)

I had already put it in that directory. Still no button.

You can test it here:

Are you sure to have the block codes in Subs.php, post.template.php and the string in Modification.yourlanguage.php?
And: did you enable the bbc [youtube] from admin panel->post and topics->bulletin board code->youtube ?

'Youtube' works, I've tested.
The path for the gif don't know why is where you said to have replaced it.
No answers to your questions, sorry.

The thing is there were no directions on what modifications are being made in the MOD information. Only to add the line to post.template.php and the language one. Nothing about subs. Ill check the language one now, but i already did the post.template.php one manually.

tatore

..so you didn't install it via pakage manager?
Why didn't you try?
Do you have a customized post.template?
Try to install it as I've suggested.

Yes, I installed it using the package manager. thats why i dont know anything about which modifications to make manually, the package manager did it all. I just did the 2 extra steps (moved .gif and changed post.template.php

tatore

Last attempt:
Copy a youtube.gif in themes/default/images/bbc

I'm in the same boat as some above...   I installed the package and checked the mod in the english php and the correct code WAS added.   I don't have a custom post.template.php in my themes that i saw so I didn't need to change that... but it still doesn't work

Does it work with SMF 1.1.3?

I just wanted to post, and say THANK YOU for keeping this mod alive.  It's one of my favorites.  I use it on many of my forums, and only had trouble with install on one.  (It wasn't the mods fault)

So thank you!

shadow82x

This mod still has a long life too. :P I already updated it to the private beta by permission of Marlin. So once 2.0 goes public you will have it too. :)
