More then one row of stars, more then one member group shown

From what I can see, the 'stars' number and type are determined by the primary member group, with the other membergroups not shown.  Is there a way to add futher member groups?  My primary purpose for this is for a game forum.  I wish for representation of division, rank, and visual representation of their rank.  I can have division or rank  shown; the visual representation is easy with rank via 'stars'.
