Hello

I just update my 1.0.10 forum to the new 1.1.1.
All is perfectly working execpt that the jump to the new post doesn't work. I notice that also on this SMF forum.
It jump to the new page, but don't scroll down.

Is that a bug? Thx for feedbacks.

Regards, Dominique

The "jump to" link appears to work here. You can select the board below using the jump bar and it takes you where it is supposed to take you.

Please post a link to your forum and post anything you have in your forum error log.

No, it's not the jump to dropdown box, it's the little image "new" on blue background on the tread list.

To test: www.john-howe.com/forum

Or this forum.

I could not see from your link as no new threads are displayed to guests.

If we are talking about the same thing which is the "New" icon which indicates a reply to a new thread, then jumping straight to either the latest reply or the original thread topic can be set within your own profile.

You can also set a profile for guests so that they go straight to the latest reply within a topic also.

Profile (look for look & layout preferences)

I don't think any of those settings alter (or are meant to alter) the way that clicking the 'new' icon is supposed to function, which as that it should link to the FIRST unread message in a thread (well, message number greater than the last one you DID read in the thread).

You're right. You can check this bug aslo here on this smf forum.
Clic on the new button and check if it scroll down to the new message.
Doesn't work for me...

Heuuu wait, now it's working here, but not on my forum... Why?

I've created a test account here:

Login : smfuser
PWD: 123456

So you can test.

Thx for your help.

Took a look, and something is definitely not right.

The 'New' links here (and on the SMF forum I run) have the form:
.../index.php?topic=142786.msg910558#new

On your forum, they're being given in the form:
.../index.php?topic=2930.from0#new

Which, I believe, is the older form (from the 1.0x versions).

So, I think that some of your files (perhaps those for the custom theme) aren't updated (or not fully so) to 1.1 .

DomDom Skye

Hummm I see, but I crosscheck and all is ok. I use the upgrade file and receive the message successfully.
What can I do more?

I confirm, it's in my theme... I change to the default and no problem.
How may I correct this little theme bug?

Contact the Theme Author and report the bug to them. They may need to fix the theme.

Was a custom adaptation from the original SMF YaBB theme (ver.1.0.3).
I will downoad a new one and adapt it again. Memeber report me that the mark as read feature doesn't work too.

Do you have any Yabb theme workin with 1.1.1? The one I found (1.1 RC3) doesn't work.
